Agreed. As much as I'd like to see Arya happy, I don't see it happening. I think she'll either die at the end of book 6 or beginning of book 7. The other Stark kids have better chances to live than Arya.

I think Arya makes it to the middle of aDoS. She will rack up a hell of a body count IMO.

I keep hoping that GRRM sees everyone predicting Arya having no future and makes her one that survives.

My biggest fear: Arya is Nissa Nissa

I don't think she will die, while I do agree that her tale won't be pretty. The reasons why- she isn't a quitter so she won't ask for the 'gift' & what does she say to death?

Anybody have any idea what the point of Brienne's trip up Crackclaw Point with Nimble Dick was? She killed some Mummers I guess but just seemed like a waste of 30 pages.

Not sure, avenged Jamie's hand with his sword? Although I'm not sure if she used it to kill all 3.

Nimble Dick did tell her that there were good or loyal dragon men in the area.

Many of the Brienne chapters seemed like a waste of space in AFFC.

Indeed, I always skip them on reread. Too much fluff.

Yep, via Wiki:
quote:

During the long reign of the Targaryens, the people of Crackclaw Point remained fierce Targaryen loyalists, many of them fighting at the Battle of the Trident on the side of Prince Rhaegar. Since King Robert Baratheon's accession, the region has been neglected by the Iron Throne.

King's Landing is probably going to soon be surrounded by those neglected Targaryen loyalists if Aegon makes significant progress to reclaim the throne.

My opinion as well. That, or she continues to be absorbed by her obsession of death and lives til the end assassinating people at will, with her final victim in the series being Varys.

The question I'm wanting to know is what Littlefinger who has essentially control of a very powerful and untouched Vale gonna think about the coming Targaryen war.

I'm sold in my mind that Tyrell and Martell align with Aegon along with the crownlands. Littlefinger is one of my favorites so what do you guys think?

Littlefinger is going to sit it out, have the Northern Kingdoms form their own realm, and then see what he has to work with once Dany and Aegon weaken each other. That is his plan.

I'm starting to doubt more and more that Dany ever makes it to Westeros.

No way he commits publicly to a side anytime soon. But in the end if he actually wants the throne he will have to set up and seize the right moment to make a move. Otherwise after everything he's done his position will never change. I just think it'll be after the targaryen war.

Agreed. But GRRM seriously needs to wrap up the Dany in Essos story within a couple chapters then have her arse on a boat. Please, I don't want to spend another whole damn book reading about how she found the khalasar, oh we have to go back to Mereen, oh wait I want to play at being a queen, etc. crap.

I also think LF is biding his time to see which side is the winning side before he acts. He's also waiting for the opportune moment to utilize Sansa/Alayne and reveal her as a Stark. I'm thinking Sansa's cover is blown no later than the middle of TWoW.

And as someone who knows 99% of spoilers and is in the middle of AFFC, Brienne's chapters are terrible. I used to think Bran and Sam's were rather boring. But I love theirs a zillion times better than hers.

Doubtful. Martells obviously are going to align with Aegon if they believe he is Elia's son but they aren't very fond of the Tyrells.

Plus the Tyrells are already pretty well entrenched in King's Landing. Only way I see that happening is if the Tyrells can someone get Maergery to marry a third time with Aegon and I highly doubt the Martells would want that.

I'm honestly hoping she dies and quickly. Shes ignored damn near every good piece of advice Barristan has given her and I'd like to see the dragons put to use instead of chained up in a dungeon.

Ideally Victarion shows up and picks up 3 dragons after killing Dany so he doesn't have to deal with her bitch arse

Jon is gonna come back looking white like a ghost, (sorry for that) with either bright blue eyes, dark red eyes, or one blue and one red.

He'll ride fire dragons, ice dragons, stone dragons, wolves, bears, eagles, giants, horses, shadowcats...he'll even ride Shireen's little greyscale arse if he wants too.

He's gonna wreck a lot of shite cause he's a Stargaryen, and he's the only damn one out there
