Crackpot Theory time. Euron Greyjoy gave the Faceless Men a dragon's egg in order for them to kill his brother. The Faceless Men are currently sending Jaqen to Oldtown to find out how to hatch the dragon's egg since they know it's possible because of Dany. Arya will find the egg, know what the Faceless Men plan to use it for, and steals it. She will smuggle the egg back to Westeros, find Jon, and they'll hatch it proving Jon's legitimacy.

I don't buy Euron's claim that he threw it out to sea for sure. But I tend to believe he kept the dragon's egg for himself and that's why he sought out and obtained the Dragonbinder (horn).

Speaking of Jon's past, do you think he'll eventually go to the Winterfell crypts and find out about his parentage there (and will connect the dots to his recurring dream in AGoT) ?
I think we already discussed a Crackpot theory about Stoneheart may find out the truth & how her feelings towards Jon could change & would want to tell him/would feel at peace that Ned never dishonered her.

It's a crackpot theory to where I doubt it's happening. Maybe she'll hear from Braavos that the Night's Watch needs any and all men due to the Others attacking the wall, and Arya may think Jon's only chance is getting a dragon.

The Faceless Men were supposedly born in Old Valyria, so they might be know more about dragons than we've seen. Its a little late in the game to be bringing it up though.
I do like the idea of Jaqen seeking dragonlore at the Citadel though. Best explanation I've seen for what he's up to. I think Sarella/Alleras is going to play an important role moving forward as well. She's the one really following in Oberyn's footsteps.

To me, it's not only the only sane reason Jaqen is there, but also Euron. He's after the same thing the Faceless Men are.
