I haven't read the books. I just wanted to pop in and say that this is the most unlikely subject for a marathon thread that I've ever seen.
you underestimate ASOIAF fandom

She would definitely be a force to be reckoned with. And back to the faceless man training if she were to jump into other people the way Bran does with Hodor she would be the most lethal person in Westeros. Would be epic for her to stand there looking at her target and make them slit their own throat while looking back at herself.

Arya Stark is a natural lefty. The "Kingthlayer" has only his left hand remaining. I'm just crackpotting.

The Starks in the south and the kids without their direwolves are lost Finally someone agrees with me. No way she's clever enough to beat Petyr. I think Martin just wants us to think that she will outsmart him
Agree with all of this

I think Baelish will outsmart himself, and his greatest flaw, pride, will be his downfall.

I just haven't seen enough from Sansa to think she has the ability to even grasp what LF is trying to do - let alone kill him or lead him to his demise.
Also, I'm not 100% sure that's what she wants. I think I remember her figuring out that LF wants her but I feel like she feels protected by him - if not happy.

I think that's the clue. Sansa is the only Stark child (barring Rickon) that hasn't "grown up" in the world. All of the others have started on their own paths while Sansa has been following others. I think at some point she will realize she is a Stark and has the power to affect what is going on. I'd imagine it would start when she finds out Rickon is alive and starts thinking that all of the other players in the Game of Thrones are using the Stark name to their advantage, why not her?

I just don't know if she's going to...Arya is significantly younger than her yet far more advanced and cultured. Sansa still dreams of knights and babysits little robin all day.

Sansa has not dreamed of knights in quite some time. She is slowly waking up to reality and is maturing. You can see it in the way she handles Robin.

Maybe she doesn't, but nobody said the Blackfish can't when he plays spoiler at the wedding.

I just read the answer, confirmed by Martin, but completely forgot about this lil cliffhangar: The one word Brienne screamed to get UnCat to release her and Podrick from the noose...
...And in Jaime's last POV, he abandons the war effort to follow Brienne...seemingly straight to the clutches of UnCat and the BwB...(Even though she already had a spy in place at RiverRun - Tom O' Sevens - was he there for Jaime or to look out for Edmure and Blackfish?)
Does Brienne honor her vow to UnCat and follow through, or does she pull a "My vow to you died with you" and help him escape at the last second?
...and why did I have to search 4 pages to find this MFing thread??? What's up wit dat? No more football, Walking Dead or Boardwalk Empire to keep us busy...

I think Tom is serving as a spy and someone who can open the gates.

My favorite. Just love the play on words here.
quote:
“We were king’s men, knights, and heroes . . . but some knights are dark and full of terror, my lady. War makes monsters of us all.”
