Apparently, he’s working on a new book which will serve as the conclusion to the Wax and Wayne series. He is calling it “The Lost Metal” and it will be released 11/2022!

If you don’t know who this is and/or haven’t read the Mistborn series, I highly recommend it!

Awesome, I'll have to reread those next year. Wax and Wayne is my favorite of his thus far.

I got halfway through Shadows of Self and was having a hard time finishing. I may have to finish it.

I'm reading Oathbringer from the Stormlight Archives series.

Wax and Wayne just had a great voice in the prose, interesting and funny characters and the right amount of intrigue for me to really love it.

Loved Stormlight 1 and 2 but Oathbringer was a major slog for me, and I usually gravitate towards the massive worldbuilding series.

If I recall correctly, Sanderson had a tough time writing it. I believe he stopped working in it, wrote the following book “The Bands of Mourning,” and then finished “Shadows of Self.” That’s why those two books came out months apart, and why “Shadows” seems like a chore.

I bought this last year when it came out, but have yet to get around to it. I’ve been slow at reading this year and I wanted to read other stuff before getting to that one.

Edit to add: Whoops! I thought you meant “Rhythm of War.” I read “Oathbringer” not long after its release.

It's good. I'm trying to decide if I want to jump into book 4 when I'm done or get into the Drizzt Generations series

I've read the Mistborn trilogy and loved it recently. I discovered him after he finished up WoT and did such a great job.

What should I read next of his, any suggestions on order?

If you want to read an epic series like WoT then I suggest his Stormligt Archives series. He is 4 books in, but I don't know how many he has planned.

He’s got 10 total planned for Stormlight, a “front 5” and a “back 5” (or something like that), with the second group being later in the Cosmere’s timeline.

Wax and Wayne is the follow up to Mistborn - set in the same world but well into the future.

That’s a neat graphic.

“Warbreaker” is one of my favorites so far, and has become pretty important in the grander scheme.

Opposite for me. Couldn’t get into the rest of The SLA and couldn’t finish Oathbringer. I enjoy W&W though.

Elantris and Warbreaker are stand-alone novels and good quick reads. Stormlight is where it all comes together in huge epic books that tie the whole cosmere together. I got hooked on him bad this yea, trying to find and finish all the novellas now to see if I missed anything.
