Couldn't really get past his 16 year old girl fantasy writings in whichever book that was. Was super creepy and strange how he glorified the 40+ old banging a high school chick. I stopped reading him after that book. So, i think i made it through 2?

He really nails the small-town South in these 2. Fantastic works.

He nails down the image of a small town. I lived in a small Southern town for years, I never met a KKK member or anyone who ever knew one, Iles has them on every block by the dozens. He's a bigoted white boy who thinks he's "woke".

He killed off my favorite character. I almost drove three hours to a book signing to give him shite. Then I realized if he wasn’t a great writer it would not have bothered me. Also I can act a little nutty sometimes.

Hey Greg.

I must be an outlier. Ready Natchez Burning and a couple of others. Some good prose but plots were way too far-fetched . The scene involving the flame-thrower was so preposterous I couldn’t go any further
