Domestic violence charges against freshman Ole Miss defensive end Charles Wiley have been dismissed, according to his lawyer Steve Farese. Per The Clarion-Ledger:
quote:No. 21 Ole Miss (1-2, 0-1 SEC) plays host to No. 11 Georgia (3-0, 1-0) on Saturday at 11am on ESPN.
"The parties mutually agreed to dismiss the charges and (to) handle this matter privately," Farese said on Thursday morning.
A source within Ole Miss' program said Wiley is now eligible to play.
On Wednesday afternoon, Rebels coach Hugh Freeze said Wiley would "never step on the field until (his legal issues are) cleared up."
