The Atlanta Falcons hired Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as their head coach after pursing Bill Belichick. Here's why the former Pats legend didn't get the gig...

Like Saban, Bill wasn't the same coach he was 10 years ago.

As a Saints fan, I like the hire, he is in same category as Saints HC, DA, hired as HC, fired as HC and gets another job as HC, Hiring a 72 yr old fired 6 X SB winner who was fired from same org that he won so much for u, tells u all u need to know about him as a HC in this new NFL

Again the Falcons are failures

Bill doesn't have time for a rebuild. He needs to go to a team ready to compete. The Falcons aren't it.

Tom Brady wasn't part of the deal. That's why he didn't get hired.

dr, but let me take a wild guess…is it bc of a back room NFL mandate to owners that one open HC job must go to a Rooney Ruler and Arthur Blank drew the short straw?

I’d imagine the entire deal was finalized some time ago and the Falcons “exhaustive” search was a total farce and only held token whitey interviews to keep up appearances. nice.

also explains why anyone would consider David Shaw as a candidate lmao cuz was the secret distraction token bc 50% of minority candidates getting hired seems more plausible than 100%.

C'mon man. The owners are the NFL. Roger Goodell is their lapdog, not the other way around.
