Wouldn't "ice in his veins" be better shown by a much lower heart rate? Not taking anything away from Mahomes, by the way. He's obviously incredible regardless.

That's what they are saying. When the Bills had the ball his HR was higher because he had no control over the game and was nervous. When they got the ball back and he went into the game his HR dropped because he had control and was calm and confident.

His heart rate seems unnaturally high for his time on the sidelines in the early parts of the game. I can completely understand being on edge near the end.
