© Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
When you're the rookie you get stuck paying the bill a majority of the time. Texans Rookie K.J. Dillon learned this on Monday night when his teammates let him take care of this $16,000 check...

"This really needs to go away. There's nothing wrong with a little hazing but this is idiotic" Agreed. I've seen like 3-4k bills, or having to buy donuts everyday or stuff like that, but almost 20k with tax/tip for one dinner for a rookie making under 400k after taxes is just absurdly dumb.

You have to leave $2477.7 in tips if you go with the doubling the tax route. Just saying.

Sea bass? Tasteless stuff. Might as well order tofu.

They go to arguably the best steakhouse in Houston and someone orders fried oysters?

Appetizer, dude. Their fried oysters are awesome.

While I see the hazing aspect of all this, his teammates really just fricked him. All these older players need to show rookies that money can just go away. This isn't the way you teach these younger guys how to be smarter with your money.

I'd just be a bitch because I wouldn't pay that. He was probably the 'poorest' guy at the table.
