I don't know who at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization thought this was an awesome idea, but I don't think there is a universe in which a parrot should announce an NFL draft pick...

And the parrot didn't even talk. Even worse. Poor Jordan Whitehead out of Pitt, I don't think his NFL dream coming true involved a speaking/nonspeaking bird.

If you know the parrot didn't talk, why did you put it in the post title? You're killing your parents, Larry.

These gimmicks have gotten ridiculous. Just call the draft picks like they used to be.

The WWE would have gotten a top notch parrot for their production. How do they expect to sell T-shirt’s and snack food with this?

This whole time I thought the parrot had said the guy's name. Anyways, I'm not digging this trend of finding some "creative" way to announce your pick

What am I missing here? I was not under the impression that the parrot was supposed to say anything. Have we forgotten that it’s like a pirate thing to have a parrot on your shoulder?
