According to ESPN, the New Orleans Saints have added free-agent running back C.J. Spiller.

Spiller will join a Saints backfield that already includes Mark Ingram, who recently re-signed with the team, and Khiry Robinson.

Spiller, 27, was a free agent for the first time after being selected ninth overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2010.

Considered one of the fastest and most athletic running backs in the NFL, Spiller is coming off a pair of disappointing, injury-hampered seasons in which he saw diminished production as both a runner and receiver.
Spiller missed seven games with a broken collarbone. He finished with just 300 rushing yards on 78 carries.
