Jon Gruden Said If He Fails With The Raiders He Won't Take Their Money
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Jon Gruden signed a 10-year, $100 million contract to be the Oakland Raiders new head coach. Which is a weird long contract. But Gruden isn't worried because...
quote:

"If I can't get it done, I'm not going to take their money," Gruden told Jarrett Bell of USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday.
Bold statement, Coach. You think he'll do well there?

If he honors his statement, then he is rare breed of what a man and his word used to mean. I hope he does honor it if he fails but I hope he turns that program around. I am a Saints fan but always like the Raiders as an aside.

He's the best pro coach and he hasn't coached a game in 10+ years. He will have success in year 1. Go RRRRRaiderzzzzzzz

Pretty much how things work in life for the rest of us. Can’t get it done = don’t get paid.

I like it. Bold strategy. Teaches responsibility to the weak. May not work, but look at the audience he's working with there in Oakl, er, Los Ange, uh, Anahei, sorry, Las Vegas!
