Saban Tells NFL Teams He's Staying At Bama

According to Mike Freeman of CBS Sports, NFL teams have been reaching out to Alabama head coach Nick Saban to find out if he’s interested in making a return to the NFL. He’s made it clear that he wants to stay at Alabama.
quote:

"NFL teams that have been inquiring about Alabama coach Nick Saban in recent days and weeks have been told in no uncertain terms: thanks, but no thanks.

At least so far. Some franchises with vacancies have sent feelers towards Saban and the Alabama coach regarding his seriousness about returning to the NFL. He has told these inquirers that he isn’t coming back."

It's also tough on him when the other franchises get to pay their recruits.

There is no main office in Birmingham that will give him easy schedules in the NFL...like Bama gets from the SEC headquarters.

Saban won't make it in NFL and he knows that. He needs talent advantage to win plus easy schedule.

I don't think Saban could have ever gone to a school like S.Carolina and had the success that Spurrier has had. And he knows he can't coach with the big boys in the NFL so why try again. I give him credit for know his limitations.

Alabama told Saban they would be his safety net BEFORE he left LSU and went to the Dolphins.

Can't blame him. He was no success in the league and when teams have equal talent, he has proven that he is no better gameday coach than anyone else.
