That man did more for the city of New Orleans and state of Louisiana than the sum total of all of these people on here who want to hate him for actually having some empathy for the experience of many black Americans. You don't have to get everything right to show compassion. There's grey area and room for understanding even when there's no simple answers to complicated problems.

"actually having some empathy for the experience of many black Americans".... but that's NOT what Brees did. Almost all Americans have empathy for our fellow citizens, of all stripes. What Brees did was initially say kneelers were disrespecting the flag, and then when he got pushback, he COMPLETELY CAVED AND GROVELED FOR FORGIVENESS. In other words, he didn't stand up for what he believed in. That makes him a coward.
