A recording of Nebraska coach Bo Pelini viciously ranting about Husker fans on Oct. 8, 2011 after the his team came back from three touchdowns down to beat Ohio State, 34-27 has surfaced. This is Pelini responding after being told many people left at halftime... listen here. FYI, it is NSFW.

Pelini did release this apologetic statement this morning...
quote:

"I want to sincerely apologize for my comments from two years ago which became public today. I take full responsibility for these comments. They were spoken in a private room following the Ohio State game. I was venting following a series of emotional events which led to this moment. That being said, these comments are in no way indicative of my true feelings. I love it here in Nebraska and feel fortunate to be associated with such a great University and fan base. I again apologize to anyone whom I have offended."

I really, really have a problem with the guy who taped the conversation and then leaked it.

Private is private.

Not a Pelini fan in particular, but I hope he sues the jerk who did it and gets a bunch of money.

and isn't it against the law to tape and reveal a private conversation without asking permission? ... unless you are a member of the news media wing of the democrat party, then you can doctor the tape, leave out little words like ... "not", etc., with impunity.

Anyway, back to Pelini. His response was about as perfect as any I've ever seen in a situation as bad as his ... not sure what kind of coach he is, but he seems like a good man

I remember some droolers on here wanting Miles gone and Pelini as HC. Incredibly stupid people in this fanbase.
