Rick Pitino continues to go down in a blaze of fire. Just a week after being suspended indefinitely due to his involvement in a federal bribery scandal, it's been revealed that the suspended Louisville head basketball coach has been receiving 98 percent of the money from Louisville’s current deal with Adidas. According to Andrew Wolfson of the Courier-Journal, "In 2015-16, for example, $1.5 million went to Pitino under his personal services agreement with the apparel company while just $25,000 went to the program, according to a contract obtained by the Courier-Journal under the state public records act. The year before, Pitino also got $1.5 million, while the department banked just $10,000."

The university agreed to a 10-year, $160 million deal with Adidas in August, when athletic director Tom Jurich—currently on paid leave after the FBI's investigation into college basketball—said that the money would go toward the athletic department and Louisville's student-athletes.
This guy. Ha. The report claims that Pitino raked in $3 million over a two-year span, while the athletic department only received $35,000.

I mean I know he is dirty, but what is wrong with this? If they gave him the money legally there is nothing wrong with him taking it.

The outrage should be directed at their AD. He lied about where the money was going to.

Does this seem like a contract to which the university would in good faith agree to you? Because it doesn't to me. It seems like there would probably need to be some fraud or authorized representatives for the university acting in bad faith.

right, it was 160 mill over 10 years. or 16 mil a year, he got 1.5 of the 16 million a year, and the university got the rest.

If the AD approved of this then I don't see a problem.

Don't see the problem. I'm pretty sure Pitino is the main reason they got the contract

This is media twisting shite. Adidas supplemented his salary so the university could pay less. This happens a lot with this and tv/ radio show deals.

Numbers do not add up. $160 million over 10 years and Pitinonwas paid $3 million over the first two years. That's less than 1%.
