On top of his amazing NBA career and current endless business ventures, Shaquille O'Neal does has some regrets about how some of his previous relationships ended...
quote:

"I had two perfect women and I messed it up," O'Neal said in an appearance on "Mo Talk Radio" with R&B singer Monica.

"My first one was my baby mother, Arnetta, and then I met Shaunie. Shaunie was also a perfect woman, and I messed it up."

"Yeah, you know, we were young and always just doing dumb stuff. But, the good thing about our relationship is that they forgave me, and we have a good relationship now," O'Neal said, noting that he's been able to move past issues that caused those relationships to end.

"Even though I don’t have a relationship with the women that I let get away, I will always PPL: protect, provide, and love, whatever they need they get it from me," O'Neal said.

People taking ownership for their mistakes is so refreshing. Shaq just seems like a genuine individual.

Nobody's perfect. He was young and in love at the time, and that's great, and I don't doubt that they were probably really cool chicks. But being infatuated does sometimes put some tinted glasses on a bit. Still it's good that he can reflect and keep some perspective.

Shaq is a good man. Makes mistakes but still does the right thing.
