After a loss to the Miami Heat by 19 points on Tuesday night, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James

After his team lost to the Miami Heat by 19 points on Tuesday night, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James said he would vote for himself as MVP. No, like for real...
quote:

“I would vote for me,” James told The Associated Press. “The body of work, how I’m doing it, what’s been happening with our team all year long, how we’ve got so many injuries and things of that nature, guys in and out, to be able to still keep this thing afloat, I definitely would vote me.”
Yep. Oh, he's not done...
quote:

“At this point in my career, I’m just trying to break the mold, break the narrative of guys in their 15th year … I’m trying to do things that have never been done before,” James said. “It’s crazy because I’m not setting out to do it. It’s just kind of happening organically. I’m just training my body and training my mind and going out and playing and seeing what happens.”
I don't get it. I don't. Who talks like this? Even if you feel this way, don't say it to the press. Never would Michael Jordan ever say this on the record, even if he is the cockiest guy on the earth. I used to like LeBron. He's making it harder and harder to root for him. We all know how good you are dude, we just don't need to hear it from you.

Harden did the same exact thing in 2016. Harden had exceptional numbers, totally kept his team together, and absolutely balled out statistically (more so than I think Lebron has this year)... and still Harden finished 9th in voting that year... The reason the reporters and voters gave was because the Rockets were not very good. Steph won that year because his team was sooo good... and they were. Last year was the only year a player being on a poor team helped them win the MVP. Last year was an anomaly in giving it to Westbrook. The reason Harden is going to win it this year, because his team is so good. Lebron needs to shut up and play every game to the best of his ability. He is a physical freak. He has the ability and skills to take over any game at any time and dominate... but he doesn't. I look at what Lebron could be, and more than MVP, I think disappointment. We have all seen what he is capable of; he could and probably should be the GOAT... but he'd rather tell us how good he is rather than show us.

James Harden leads the league in scoring (Lebron 3rd) and is third in the league in assists (Lebron 2nd), but his team has only lost once in two months (27 out of 28 games) and is 16 games better that Lebron's team. I think Harden wins hands down.

Exactly why he’ll always be MJ’s waterboy instead of GOAT

I am not sure what is so surprising, he surrounds himself with yes men and even demands that the team he works for does as well.

No. Remember watching an interview on a late night talk show when he first got in the NBA. Host was ripping him for being arrogant because he brought his new house plans up and mentioned he was having a statue of himself by the front door and a casino with custom chips in his image made. Even way back then.
