Isiah Thomas Made It About Himself & Gave The Worst Apology Ever On ESPN This Morning
© David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports
Last night's episodes of The Last Dance took us into Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls battle against the Detroit Pistons. One that ended up with the Bulls finally sweeping the Pistons to go to the NBA Finals and Isiah Thomas and most of his teammates walking off the court without shaking the Bulls hands. On ESPN Monday morning, Isiah, who is taking a lot of heat for the unsportsmanlike move again after last night, attempted this awful, awful, awful, apology...

He apologized to his work colleagues for him having to answer these absurd questions about this irrelevant event that took place 30 years ago. That wasn't an apology at all. He is a dipshit that also helped run the Knicks and the CBA (Continental Basketball Association - pre-D & G League) into the ground. Isiah is the equivalent of Roy Munson.

I'm with ChunkLover's comments below. Don't most of us bitch when players are all happy-go-lucky with opposing players and coaches after a game in ANY sport? So the Pistons did exactly that and we vilify them. So what do people want? Oh just to bitch, got it.

There is something called, HAPPY MEDIUM. We are talking about the full extremes. The Pistons were hated for a reason by the entire league. They went out to hurt and intimidate you, and it worked for them - for a while. There is nothing wrong with a rivalry between teams or players. Its healthy for the game and league. The Pistons were over the top. The jersey exchange, strokefest after games now is ridiculous. Hang out and do that garbage in the off season. It doesn't need to be a fight, or a love fest. Play the game with intensity. Todays game is a joke in comparison.

This is why that was the greatest era. No one cared anything about what you thought of them. They just wanted the W.

The style Detroit played wasn’t even basketball. I can’t stand how people thought that was fun to watch.

Looking back it totally pissed me off the way the Poisons left the floor without congratulating the Bulls but the documentary shed some light on the situation that I had never heard before. I didn’t realize the Celtics did the same thing when they lost the playoff series to the Pistons a few years earlier. This revelation totally changes my feelings towards Pistons. That’s just the way it was done back in the day and kind of makes the Bulls come off as whiny bitches now.

So the Bulls shake the Pistons hands 2 years in a row and you take Isiah's side because he said the Celtics did it to him? You're easily manipulated I see.

Isiah is a lying scumbag. He has lied more than Pete Rose about this very simple story. He said, we didn't care. We were pissed. Then they tried to say the Bulls were disrespectful when they were about to be swept, so they felt justified. Now he says, that's how things were done back then??? No. That is bullshite. The Celtics walked off because they were losing, and they were on the ROAD as they lost the series. The Piston fans were about to storm the court, (smart player safety move) the losing road team players hit the locker room early. When the Pistons walked, they were AT HOME. They did it as a F*&$ You to the Bulls, to disrespect them. They are so butthurt none of those fools except the ones that played with him even acknowledge that Jordan is the GOAT. ISIAH IS A LIAR and a snake.

No, it didn't show good sportsmanship. But WGAF? Many of us clamor for the days before jersey exchanges and cutting up after a series or big game. Well here we go. I don't care at all for Detroit, but why the butthurt now?

Now? Jordan and most of his Bulls teammates been waving the "I hate Isiah" flag for years. Unapologetically. It's just coming back to light with the ESPN special.

I’m 100% with you. Why do the Bulls players even care about shaking hands after a game? Go celebrate your win with your teammates. Just conjured up meaningless drama.

Its simple. Jordan was petty. Petty stuff is what drives him. He's all offense - Defensive POY, - 9 time All Defense. He can score, but he can't win - logged both trophies and scoring titles. The slights were what fueled him. The defeats were his motivation. The "conjured drama" was a big part of the Bulls success. IT ALL MATTERS.

It's a shame that Isiah has helped cultivate this image of himself over the year. He was a phenomenal player. One of the best PG ever.
