Livvy is a sweetheart and active member of the team. They all work their muscled up asses off for years just to get a chance to come to some school with a program, much less a championship team like LSU. Then they work super hard to be the best. Even when they know they aren't the best they work hard to be there should the need arise. Livvy was good for the program. Every bench sitter and rookie on the TEAM deserves that trophy and ring.

A typical self-centered social media star would not be as excited about the team winning the championship. They might not say it, but they would selfishly be pissed off because they weren't one of the competitors in the championship round. Someone who is as excited as Dunne is to be on a championship team is a true team player - excited that the team won. Did you see any teammate of any gymnast who did not happen to compete not giving those gymnasts smiles and hugs? This was truly a team.

According to the few idiots posting on this thread, Super Bowl rings would only go to those on the team who played in the game. If you're on the team, you helped earn the team that trophy. Thankfully, this is a minority viewpoint here. Those buffoons suck the life out of the fun of having a national champion gymnastics team.

I would definitely give one to DD Breaux. The architect of this gymnastics team for 40 years

I’ve never heard of a backup being discredited in any other sport when they win. Y’all just jealous that she’s a celebrity and makes money than you.

She is damned-cute little thing, but there are a half-dozen damned-cute gals on that LSU squad. Damn!

I don’t think Ms. Dunne competed in the finals. While I respect the optics Ms. Dunne has brought to the sport the writer clearly disregards the entire LSU gymnastics TEAM to write what’s her name is with her trophy.

So laughable.

Congrats to all the women who brought the title home.

wait, so a player who doesn't actually play in a championship game doesn't deserve congratulations for the championship??? Good lord, man, you've got issues.

Olivia Dunne has been a very positive ambassador for all things LSU and especially gymnastics. Combined with this 2024 National Championship, we can expect very good things going forward.

People hating on this girl yet they say things like "we won a natty in 2019". MF you didn't win shite.

She has competed. Didn’t she just achieve a high score in an event a few weeks ago ? Doesn’t competing with her teammates make them better as well ? Isn’t it a team championship? Get off her back and let her enjoy.

fair take.

This was a great TEAM accomplishment! For those complaining that she did not compete in the finals, what about baseball last year? When we won the final game against Florida, a dozen players never saw the field, but did that keep them from jumping on the pile? Should they give their rings back? What about 2019 football? Dozens never took the field against OK or Clemson. Still part of a team.
To all the jealous whiners: Get a life.
To Olivia and all of your teammates: Enjoy the memories for ever! Great job.

Her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, didn’t get into the championship game but was a huge reason the team was there, just like her situation. She doesn’t score 10’s but she’s consistently in the 9.8 - 9.9 range and deserves that trophy just as much as Bryant does. It’s hers, it’s well deserved, it’s right. Let the girl enjoy this.

I don’t get the hate this girl gets. Yes she is a gorgeous girl and uses it to her benefit, show me a female who doesn’t? She isn’t getting in trouble or making political statements or pushing an agenda.
Is she one of the main stars of the team no. But she has contributed in a big way on floor when her number has been called.

People are jealous, plain & simple. She’s a really good gymnast (LSU just happens to have a few girls better) that has been nothing but a tremendous ambassador for LSU.

A petite girl having sex with Paul Skenes can definitely cause bodily injury

She actually is really good, she's just not quite as good as the 5 ahead of her on this team. She'd be an every meet performer at all but about 10 other schools in the country.

Same here. Happy for her and all, but what about giving some love to the girls that actually went out there and won the championship

She didn’t compete in the semi or finals. But she has been a true ambassador for LSU. She’s not a feminist just a very talented & beautiful young lady, She’ has helped others get NIL recognition. Overall she will be part of LSU lore for years.
