BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU falls in a midweek matchup to Southern, 12-7, Monday night inside Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

With the loss, LSU fell to 20-10 on the season, while the Jaguars improved to 12-13.

The Tigers return Thursday at 6:00 p.m. CT to take on Vanderbilt in the first game of the series. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN2, and it can be heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network affiliates.

Win or lose, I don’t take mid week games seriously. I have seen teams with flu lose to a D1 bottom dweller before….you never know.

This is ridiculous. No excuse why LSU baseball doesn't always have 5-7 elite pitchers on the roster every year. Should be signing 3-5 elite pitchers every class. Pitching, Pitching, Pitching.
