Former LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White has signed a rookie contract agreement with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday. The Bills selected White 27th overall in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Details of the contract were not disclosed.

“I can’t tell you all how grateful I am for the opportunity, how happy I am for myself and my family,” White said. “I’m looking forward to earning all my stripes and earning the respect of the vets and of the guys that are here.”

White, has been rotating in with fellow cornerbacks Ronald Darby and Kevon Seymour with the starting defensive unit. The LSU product has also been in the rotation for punt return duties with veteran Brandon Tate.

“I just feel I can bring some depth to this secondary,” White said. “We already have some great players, some players that I’ve watched for some time in Micah Hyde – I watched him when he was in Green Bay. I’ve watched a lot of (Ronald) Darby when I was in college and he was at Florida State. He was another guy. And then we have Jordan Poyer here too. There’s definitely some guys that I’ve watched at LSU and I’m looking forward to just coming in and adding to the great players that we already have.”

Really happy for Tre'. A true Tiger and starter from Day 1! He seems well grounded and should do very well in Buffalo. Youngsters can learn a lot from White on working hard and having it pay off. Good luck Tre'!

Not that it matters, but why are people down voting posters who are wishing White good luck?? Makes absolutely no sense!

Great example of someone coming back for a senior year and it paying off. No way he was going in the first in 2016

I wish for nothing but the absolute best for that young man. Such a class act...might even watch a few Bills games just because of him.

Kept his nose clean despite being a starter and a popular name for 4 years. Definitely one of my favorite tigers ever since he set foot in BR.
