I am cautiously optimistic. We are really strong in certain places. But we are losing quite a bit. First year starters can and have done very well in these positions (Duke Riley comes to mind). So sure lets roll with it. Geaux Tigers!

Hope I'm wrong about O and we finish in the Top 5. Although Miles problem was never being in the Preseason or "way-to-early" Top 5, but was living up to the level of our talent.

why is USC rated so high and Michigan rated so low? to be honest I don't think LSU deserves to be in the top 10 just yet either. these polls seem to be unrealistic and based on emotion rather then facts

Darnold is a bad man.. possibly the #1 pick when he comes out. Him + the rest of their talent + being in the PAC12 = USC in the playoff discussion.

Michigan basically loses everyone of note.

@ UF, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tennessee is no slouch. I don't see a top 5 finish unless LSU overachieves and the rest of the conference sans Alabama is worse than expected.

So Penn State is over night awesome.....guess I will have to do some studying as to why.

without looking at the roster, they did beat OSU and win the Big 10. Franklin has done a hell of a job.

I believe they also bring back almost all starters on both sides of the ball.

I thought Franklin would fail. I was wrong.

These polls mean nothing until the CFP poll comes out later in the season. Still, it's good to have recognition as one of the better teams in the nation. Recruiting, team morale, and a winning attitude can be results of this.
