LSU junior running back Leonard Fournette was ranked No. 1 in Sports Illustrated Top 100 players in college football for the 2016 season.

Fournette, along with Texas A&M's Myles Garrett (No. 3) and Alabama's Cam Robinson (No. 8) were the only players from the SEC to crack the top 10.

Here is what they had to say about Fournette, who rushed for 1953 and 22 touchdowns in 2015.
quote:

In terms of pure dominance, no player matches the brute force of Leonard Fournette. As a sophomore in 2015 Fournette led the FBS in rushing yards per game (162.8) and finished third in total rushing yards with 1,953. That total, as well as Fournette’s 22 rushing touchdowns, both set LSU single-season records. Oh, and the 6’1”, 230-pound brick wall bounced off defenders for a startling 6.5 yards per carry. In two years Fournette is already fourth on the Tigers’ career rushing chart (2,987 yards), and he’ll enter 2016 as a preseason first-team All-America certainty. If starting a college football team from scratch, one would be remiss to not pick Fournette with the first-overall selection. — ZE

He is almost certainly the best college football player but he is definitely the best college football player in humility. I hope he has a great TIGER football record breaking season and mostly I hope he remains healthy throughout.

He would have shattered the single season rushing record if Les wouldn't have sat him in the 4th quarter for most of the season. I hope Les is true to his word and puts the foot on the gas regardless of the score and starts blowing teams out like LSU is more than capable of.

Agreed man...Never understood how Les could so risky at times yet so conservative with his play calling.

However, Les is looking out for LF's NFL future. As much as I want LF to shatter those records. I would rather he be a possible best RB in NFL history and be a great ambassador for LSU.
