It has been reported that LSU sophomore wide receiver Avery Johnson is expected to transfer, according to Baton Rouge sports writer Will Weathers.

LSU has not confirmed the report yet.

Johnson missed all of 2013 after suffering a season ending injury during training camp and made one appearance during the New Mexico State game in 2014.

He is the younger brother of former LSU All-American cornerback Patrick Peterson.

That's tough. Wish he could continue his brother's legacy here, but we just have so much talent at the wideout spot. Wish him the best because he worked his tail off and really wanted to play here.

Best of luck to AP. Not everybody can break through this depth chart. Hope he shines wherever he ends up.

He probably will benefit from going to a team that throws the forward pass

Wish Avery the best! Maybe he transfers to Florida Atlantic close to home? He'd have to sit out a year though
