LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said Monday that leaders on the team called a players-only meeting after Saturday's embarrassing 24-21 loss to Troy in Tiger Stadium.

Reporters met with the media on Monday and it was determined that junior safety John Battle was the one who called for the players-only meeting...

Let's hope that whatever was discussed in that meeting will help get the team back on the right track as they get ready to play seven straight SEC games to finish out the season.

cappervin go away. Nobody likes to see LSU lose, I would say Coach O hates it worse than anyone in LSU Nation, of which I gather you aren't part of.

Disappointing that only battle spoke up. You would hope some other upperclassmen would have backed him up. That might explain alot of about this team so far. Hopefully they at least play angry the rest of the season and don't lie down.

I am upset as many of you. But these are very young people, and they are trying. You can be mad at the circumstances, and pull your financial support sure. But let's root for the kids. Battle is to be applauded for trying to step in and do something about the season.

Right. Can’t win a NC every year. It took 45 years between the first two, and now everyone assumes we should be in the mix every year. Charlie McClendon is still the all time winningest coach in Tiger history. He coached us for 27 years and never came close to sniffing a Championship. It takes time to build a winner. Remember, Miles teams declined each year since the NC game in 2011. It’s just going to take a little longer than we thought, but with the talent pool in Louisiana, we’ll get there. Let’s just try and stay positive so the top recruits still want to come to LSU. That’s something we can all do together!

lol I hope no one is trashing the kids by attacking them personally. But what is this gonna do to help them on the field? They are still undermanned, undercoached, and undermotivated. They are going to be embarrassed in the swamp this weekend and I'm not gonna watch that dumb shite. Can't see those scumbags get their World Series rings and continue to take LSU's lunch money.

LSU fans are the worst. Nothing but fair weather and nega-tiger attitudes. This is a new coaching regime with young players. The players are working their arse off and want to win. No one has more at stake then they do.
