The legal case for LSU offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell has come to an end.

On Tuesday, Campbell agreed to a plea deal that will put him on probation for a year and ask him to complete 100 hours of community. Per The Advocate:

A jury trial for LSU offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell never happened Monday as scheduled.

Campbell, instead, accepted a plea deal. He pleaded guilty to battery, as a first-time offender, for his arrest in 2016, a case manager at the Fulton County State Court in Atlanta told The Advocate on Tuesday.

Campbell, a junior from Ponchatoula, will serve 12 months of probation, 100 hours of community service, eight hours of anger management and must pen two letters of apology to the victims, said Evelyn Clark, judicial case manager for the presiding judge, Susan Edlein.
Campbell was arrested back in 2016 in Atlanta and was charged with two counts of battery following a fighting incident. The incident happened at a fraternity house on Georgia Tech’s campus during LSU's 2016 bye week. Campbell was visiting his brother who plays defensive back at Georgia Tech

To celebrate, he went to Taco Bell and spent $23 for a snack. Afterwards he said he could have used a cookie or two.

Team vote for what? Do you realize how old this is? This happened during the LSU open week during the 2016 season. He was disciplined and it was over with before the season even ended.

He was defending his brother who got jumped at the party. His brother Christian plays DB for Georgia Tech.

When they charge you with battery for protecting your brother while getting jumped, you know you beat the hell out of all involved.

The frustration of having to spend a lot of time with that Community Service and Anger Management crap will make him plan meaner this year.

Meh. Old arrest, first arrest simple battery for some frat disagreement. If there wasn't serious bodily harm, don't really care.

The world sure has changed a lot. I mean did he stomp somebody out or did he just have to agree to a plea deal for whooping someone’s arse?
