LSU DT Travonte Valentine Is Transferring

LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette confirmed Wednesday that sophomore defensive tackle Travonte Valentine will be transferring from LSU.
Valentine, a former four-star prospect from Palm Bay, FL (Champagnat Catholic) never played in game at LSU due to ongoing eligibility issues.
NOLA.com reports that Valentine failed multiple drug tests and missed an excessive amount of class time after enrolling at LSU last fall.

Sources close to LSU say Valentine failed multiple drug tests and missed an excessive amount of class time after enrolling last fall. He was a highly touted defensive tackle recruit from the Miami area but reported late because of a academic issues. He practiced with the team after reporting but did not participate in spring practice.
