LSU head coach Ed Orgeron made clear during his introductory press conference on Saturday that he wants to keep defensive coordinator Dave Aranda on his staff. Per The Advocate:
quote:

“He’s happy. … I’m happy,” Orgeron said when asked about Aranda during his introductory news conference Saturday. “Dave and I have a great relationship. I totally expect Dave to be with us. We understand he’s one of the top guys in the country. People are going to come after him.

“I had a great conversation with him this morning,” Orgeron added. “He hasn’t mentioned anything about that to me. I feel confident Dave is going to be with us.”
New Texas coach Tom Herman could target Dave Aranda to join him in Austin but The Advocate reports that LSU will "sweeten the compensation package for Aranda" in hopes to keep in Baton Rouge.
quote:

LSU will sweeten the compensation package for Aranda, a source confirmed, in a new deal that could be finalized soon. The Tigers are moving quick, after Tom Herman was named Texas' coach on Saturday. Herman was part of the Cal Lutheran football program at the same time as Aranda, and reports surfaced Saturday that he'd be interested in acquiring his old college buddy.

Well Austin is known to be a gay city and the Texas admins loved the way Herman kissed his football players. As they viewed it as an expression of gay pride. Meanwhile, Herman missed Austin after serving as a grad assistant there earlier in his career. So it was a gay match made in heaven for Herman to realize his long time dream of becoming the head football coach of Texas.

Jeff Grimes needs to replaced..Lets try and get Curtis Johnson on this staff for WR and recruiting New Orleans. Move Craig to QB coach. Get Steve Sarkaisian not Lane Kiffin. Find away crate a spot for Charlie Strong. Special Defensive assistant to Aranda and outside LB coach. Keep Juluke Jabbar as RB coach.
