LSU shooting guard Antonio Blakeney was named Co-SEC Freshman of the Week, along with Kentucky's Jamal Murray for his performance against Arkansas and Florida. Per SECSports.com:

Blakeney, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard from Sarasota, Fla., averaged 27 points and 3.5 rebounds against Arkansas and Florida. Blakeney scored a career-high 32 points and made 8-of-8 free throws in the final 28 seconds to lead the Tigers to a win over Florida. He started the week with a 22-point and six-rebound effort at Arkansas. For the week, Blakeney shot 50 percent (16-of-32) from the field and 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from 3-point range. He has averaged 20 points over last seven games with six games in double figures.
