Former LSU shortstop Kramer Robertson hit two home runs in his fifth professional game Wednesday night to help lift his Peoria Chiefs team past the Lake County Captains 10-3.

It was Robertson's home debut at Dozer Park where Single A Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals play and he did not disappoint the home crowd. Per MILB.com:
quote:

Robertson homered for the first time in his professional career in the third inning and added a second home run in the seventh… It was the fourth multi-homer game for a Chiefs player this year, the first since O'Keefe did it on July 2… Tonight was his Dozer Park debut after his first four games came on the road… Robertson extended his hit streak to four games after going hitless in his professional debut… It was his second multi-hit performance in the last four games… It was Robertson's first and the Chiefs fifth four-hit game this season.

Crazy that a couple ex shortstops bomb balls once they leave for some odd reason

Thanks Geologygrad88. Exactly my point. A lot of players struggled in Omaha over the years. Remember Raph Rhymes? Best hitter in the nation! Couldn't bye one in Omaha! Does that make him a douche, too? Of course not. Good pitching beats good hitting and wins more often than not.

Absolutely!! I forgot about Raph's struggles in Omaha. I now live in NW Arkansas, so hopefully I can watch KRob as he progresses. The Cardinals double A team is in Springfield, MO and they are in the same division as the Royals double A, NW Arkansas Naturals, which is in Springdale, AR.

Baseball can be cruel and baseball can be kind. I like to see former Tigers do well. Hopefully he will make it to the majors. Also glad he cut and recolored his hair.
