A new LIV Golf book claims Tiger Woods got Phil Mickelson barred from the Open Champions Dinner at St. Andrews...
quote:

At the height of the rivalry between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour …

Tiger Woods had Phil Mickelson snubbed from a private dinner during the week of the 150th Open Championship in 2022. …

According to an excerpt from Alan Shipnuck’s upcoming book “LIV and Let Die,” Woods had Mickelson kept out of a private dinner for Open winners held at the R&A clubhouse.

The Open was taking place shortly after LIV Golf had launched its first event in June 2022, and tensions were high between golfers from the Saudi-backed league and those who remained loyal to the PGA Tour.

Woods, according to Shipnuuck, took it upon himself to have the defector kept out of the gathering.

“He talked to a handful of other [past champions] to get their blessing and then went to the R&A and told them, basically, no one wanted Phil there and it would make the night weird and awkward,” one man at the dinner said. “Whose side were they going to take,Tiger’s or Phil’s? That’s an easy choice.”

Not a Tiger Woods fan and a huge Phil Fan. But, with everything going on at this time in the golf world Tiger and other golfers probably said that Phil coming was not a good idea at the time. Tiger being the biggest name in the world gets all the credit for this incident. Tiger Woods did not stop everything he does in a day just to stop Phil Michelson from coming to a dinner. It was more than one person.

Tiger’s arguably the “greatest” professional golfer ever but also a complete POS. Quite hypocritical given he self destructed and ruined the latter portion of his career due to his self-indulgence and multiple addictions including nymphomania. LOL. Jack Nicklaus will always be the GOAT considering his professional accomplishements and the manner which he conducted his personal life.

I find myself finally getting around to liking Tiger Woods. Only the Happy Gilmore crowd likes the LIV scum.

From all indications, Phil has had the public fooled for quite a while. He is not Mr. Nice Guy. Leaving the PGA Tour because he needed money to pay his gambling debts is poor form and actions have consequences.

How dare a guy turn down $200M @ the twilight of his PGA career.

The PGA built the bridge for the players crossing over to LIV with their assumed monopoly on the professional tour.

Fanboys don't want to admit it, but Eldrick has always been an a-hole.

Definitely a POS human that used to play golf extremely well.

But it wasn't Tiger alone, was it? Seems the other guys agreed and endorsed. Phil made this happen and not just by leaving the Tour.
