re: The manhunt in Boston and Civil Liberties - Howdydo
The police aren't "given" probable cause. Police may be issued a warrant which is based on probable cause. However, reasonable searches of homes, under these circumstances, do not violate the 4th amendment. To answer your question about drugs in the homes; the short answer is maybe. If an off...

re: OT Workout: When did you stop trying to get big? - Howdydo
To say that,"all people who get big lift heavy weight " is a false statement. Getting bigger simply means increasing calories. One might exercise and burn said calories, but one might also just consume and get bigger due to a caloric surplus. This is not bro science. This is caloric expendit...

re: LA Bar exam results today - Howdydo
To those who were successful on the February exam...do you mind sharing your method of preparing? It appears the exams are changing so looking at old exams may not be as fruitful as it once was. Will be taking the first time in July and would appreciate any tips that you feel helped you be success...

re: LA Bar exam results today - Howdydo
Record numbers were due to budget cuts and the money had to made up somewhere. I do not agree with that approach but it is obvious. The schools still have a facility to run so admit more students and increase class size....

Let's see how Weiss reacts to this. Two significant drops in a row when his predictions were that the rate would not change. This will be interesting. ...

California has many unaccredited schools and Cal allows students from unaccredited schools to sit for the bar. In Louisiana one must have attended an accredited school to sit for the bar. ...

re: Jindal tax shift plan dead on arrival? - Howdydo
I guess his demise is exaggerated by 62%. That would be his approval rating which is 38%. Jindal gets no credit for tax overhaul. He could not procure the votes necessary to pass his proposal, therefore no credit for passing. Furthermore, he gets no credit for all of his "accomplishments" he r...

That response was in response to your implying of how people are moving to Texas as a result of state income tax. It was meant to supplement your response with other reasons that people may want to move to Texas. Essentially I was just adding more logic to your premise. I agree with privatizati...

Look at the message that was typed and I think you may can connect the causal connection between the demise of Jindal as a governor and the failure of his tax proposal....

re: Jindal tax shift plan dead on arrival? - Howdydo
How about Jindal do an ethics reform in order to gain trust from the tax payers and then he may gain support. Oh wait...never mind...Jindal touted his "ethics" reform a couple years ago and now his administration is under federal investigation and all of his laws are being deemed unconstitutional...

re: Jindal tax shift plan dead on arrival? - Howdydo
I agree that Texas is doing better than Louisiana economically speaking. However, you fail to mention a key factor. Louisiana is privatizing and using tax dollars to illegally form contracts with private companies which Jindal aids formerly worked for prior to working for Jindal. That is a huge...

re: Jindal tax shift plan dead on arrival? - Howdydo
If you read my post, I can forego your explanation. Although this was a temporary distraction from the federal investigation and the constitutionality (or lack thereof) of his bills from last session, those issues will surface again soon. Rest assured the educators will not allow what happened ...

At least this session has a promising start...Jindal was defeated!!! Add this defeat to all of his "wins" last session and then those wins being ruled to be unconstitutional, finally we have figured a way to beat Jindal. ...

re: Does anyone really care if Jindal's tax plan is revenue neutral? - Howdydo
While I agree there needs to be restraint on local government spending, I can't fathom to say ANY restraint. Think about what your local tax dollars support when making that statement. City Police, Sheriff's office, fire departments, portions of education in some areas, etc. is supported with local ...
