P.K.'s brother Malcolm Subban played goalie for the VGK during their first 3 seasons. He had something of an inconsistent reputation during regulation but if you got him into OT and especially shootouts, he was extremely effective.
I'm literally out of words...and nitro pills.

It's cliche' AF but there are truly no bad shots in OT.
They get the 2026 first round pick regardless.

The 2028 pick is conditional. It's currently a second round pick but it upgrades to a first round pick if the Knights win the 2026 Cup.
These days, there are better "Battle of Alberta" fights in the stands...especially Oilers fans fighting each other.

Calgary fans have to be torn. VGK hate aside, if the Knights lift the Cup, they get a first round pick. Quite the conundrum.
Found the guy who lost his arse in Vegas and is still bitter about it.

Rough night all around for the VGK but nobody said it would be easy. Refocus and come back strong Saturday night.
Hope that you're right but I'm having 2019 Game 7 at San Jose flashbacks.

VGK blew a 3-0 third period lead in that one, fell behind 4-3, tied it late, then lost in double OT.
Well, shite...

Welcome to VGK hockey...brought to you by your caring Clark County Cardiac Care Centers.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Hertl!
Time to get this thread back on the front page.

If you would have told me two months ago that the Knights would be in the SCFs under John Tortorella, I would have demanded a drug test but here we are. You'd think that by now, I'd know not to put anything past VGK management.

Hoping for a great series and for my ticker to hold up for it.
Your useless trivia for this evening...

The VGK have now had 4 head coaches in their history. Torts becomes the 3rd to make the SCFs immediately after taking control of the team.

Only Pete DeBoer failed to do so, as well as being the only VGK coach to miss the playoffs.

MSL needs to be canned by tomorrow morning. I don't care about the optics.

That's one thing about being a VGK fan...you know that your team will never be dictated by optics.

I'm gonna have trouble unseeing that image.

if sweet caroline beats us i will be pulling for yall bro

Appreciate that but I don't expect the sweep. Knights have a history of winning the Campbell Bowl and closing out series on opposing ice. I certainly wouldn't mind breaking that trend Tuesday night.

I'm with you on the Habs - Hurricanes series. I think they split the 2 games at Montreal and it becomes a 7 game war...and I think that suits the Habs.
All I can say is thank God for comebacks and nitro pills.

In the words of Kobe Bryant...job's not done yet.

Well, the good news is that it's a drama free game.

The bad news is that it wasn't the one that I had in mind.

I can neither confirm, nor deny.

Please refer any further questions to my PR team. Thanks.
Wow.

As my ex used to say...that didn't take long.

More playoff OT.

Sure glad that my team isn't playing. Rehab took enough outta me today.

AC doing his best La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation look.
This is already taking on Game 1 vibes.

damn hope you are ok there

I've certainly been better but I haven't gone full Fred Sanford just yet.

That 2021 series is still a bit grating. Marc-Andre' Fleury has a massive brain fart late in Game 3 just as the Knights were about to take back home ice advantage. Habs had the momentum from there and you kinda knew what was coming next. For all of the good moves that VGK front office have made, letting Nick Suzuki go to get Max Pacioretty continues to be "the one that we'd like to have back."

As I said in another post, the thing that most impresses me with the Habs right now is how they seem to just bounce right back when they give up a goal. Lots of hockey yet to play but you gotta wonder how much those recent ECFs flameouts have gotten into the Hurricanes' heads.
As someone who had an angiogram with 2 stents inserted on Tuesday...maybe I need to go back to pulling for the VGK from a distance. They're determined to test my cardiologist's work. :ahh:

Obviously, I'm thrilled going back home up 2-0 but I'm not looking to buy Finals tickets just yet. 2 years ago, the Knights won the first 2 games in Dallas, only to lose the series in 7. The Avs aren't going to roll over and die.

Your turn, Habs. It's fun watching the hockey world getting turned on its head.
