Gent played WR for the Cowboys during the end of the Dandy Don Merideth era. He changed the characters only enough to prevent being sued. J. D Spradling was so good as the "Tom Landry" character.

The only way this kid would be ineligible would be if he played for LSU! Every other school gets to cheat but LSU does stuff that is legal and we are the villain.

I snuck in to see it when I was around 14. At Thanksgiving, we started talking about the movie and turned out that everyone in my family including my mom, who was a bit of a prude, saw it. (I'm the youngest). My dad said my mom laughed her arse off. When they found out I had seen it my dad faked indignece, but laughed it off saying, "It isn't like I can make you unsee it now!"

Why stay up late? We all know how it is going to go. Tigers start off strong, then starting pitching gets tired, several costly fielding errors, and pass balls and walks erase the lead, and then the "relief" pitchers throw tomato cans over the plate that are sent out the yard and the season is over.
