The track team signed a Russian Javelin thrower, Alexandra Litvinova, who is on campus currently. So that might be a good sign

Or that may be a sign that the situation has nothing to do with red tape and paperwork and that Minaeva is just not coming.

The team has already started summer practice so it looks like we are rolling with what we have.

That swingin bevo is something else but $50 is reasonable

Yeah it’s a little steep but I’d gladly pay 50 bucks for a swingin’ Mike.
Meant to post this on the Golf Board but I got my answer.

Yeah, that’s an expensive hat. Can’t blame them for the exclusivity but most LSU sports merch like coaches’ polos is available to the public.
This is a great looking cap. I cannot find it online but have not yet checked the on-campus bookstore and the shop by Mike’s habitat.

am I being unreasonable?

I don’t think so.
Softball, baseball, basketball, WBB, football, etc. We are sure sitting on our asses a lot watching Texas in the postseason and winning championships.

Rantards a few years ago: “Duh! Dey gon see how tough da SEC izz!” When the truth is, they have come in here and established themselves as the dominant athletic program in the SEC.

We could definitely drop 2 somewhere along the way but still make the playoffs and then lose before we make it to the promise land. And if it panned out that way, I don’t think many realistic fan would be to upset with that for a first year performance.

Sure I think the potential is there for more but given the last few seasons, we make the playoff and I’m overjoyed.
City Park is almost 100 years old and was designed by the Johnny Appleseed of American golf. It’s a big part of American sports history. I do not understand why it’s not a National Historic Landmark where it cannot be touched.

There are two cuts. The field is cut to 15 teams after Round 3, then to 8 after Round 4 to advance to match play. They just need to stay at +3 or better (or win the tiebreaker at +4) to survive to Round 4.

Okay sorry. I should have kept up better. Since it was Sunday, I assumed that was the fourth and final round of stroke play.
So we’re still playing while all the others with a chance to make the cut are done.

If I’m reading things right we need a net three birdies to get to one under and tie for eighth.

I’ve just about given up on the Russian coming here . If it happens I’ll be pleasantly surprised

Minaeva would definitely complete the 2026-27 roster. Kim usually goes 12 players and a walk-on. But yeah, the radio silence the past few weeks has me believing that it isn’t going to happen.

This team as is without Minaeva will have an uphill battle to reach the Elite Eight. But likely they once again go home after losing in the Sweet Sixteen.

I thought after Kim copped the National Championship in her second season that we would go on and be the big bullies and could get whoever we wanted.

But we seem to have found our niche. We are one of the top programs in the country but are clearly a step below UConn, South Carolina, UCLA, and Texas.
No two ways about it. That fricking ref kept them in this game.

Wish we could have pulled the double but what a season. Champions of England. I look forward to the summer window. I’m sure Arteta and the brain trust will not rest on their laurels but look for ways to improve this team even further.
frick that ref.

Well, anything can happen now. I think Raya wins it with a big save.
Damn. We needed to do something with that.
Back to our bad habit of one too many passes in the penalty area.
Please let us get something off one of these goal kicks.
