3 hours is pushing it. Generally won't fish Venice unless we are staying the night at the camp. Those suicide trips just aren't worth it anymore.

The law says stay in the right lane unless overtaking and passing a vehicle. You aren't overtaking a vehicle when you are a 1/4 mile behind it.

Sure it is, since God gave us free will. It's not your right to decide which laws have higher priority. The law says no driving in the left lane. Same thing as speeding regardless of the amount over the speed limit.
He changed it from a logic question to a philosophical question before I entered the chat. Even considering it logically, there is no logical explanation for driving in the left lane. It is for passing only.
You can what if it to death. If you aren't passing, get to the right. It is pretty simple. Yes, sometimes you get screwed doing the right thing. That doesn't negate that it is the right thing.
Right, because you are an inconsiderate moron. I get back right everytime I pass regardless of who is behind me. Even if no one is there I get over than get back left when I get to the next vehicle. It is the proper way to drive. The left lane is only for passing, not driving. Your math doesnt work in your example though, but good try.

Has no bearing on the decision. Only question is, Are you passing someone? If no, get to the right. If yes, complete the pass then get over to the right.

Exactly, if you aren't actively passing a vehicle get over to the right. Someone is always going faster than you. It is not that complicated.

Wife and daughter in Montana. Daughter being a horse wrangler at a ranch for the summer.
Deheaded 15 lbs of shrimp. Using the heads to make shrimp stock to freeze for soups, gumbos and other dishes.
Sautéed shrimp
Boiled eggs

Cabernet aged in bourbon barrels

Boykins do all that plus the squirrels and turkey hunt. Not saying they are as good, but they can perform the same tasks. They are good if you want a smaller package.

Trained her for duck retreiving. Got her about 1/2 way thru casting when we sold our house and moved into a rent house while building our next house. Never finished her. She is serviceable though.
