Ever think that getting school coach could have prevented it?

Metcalfe could have prevented being killed by just sleeping in that morning and not going to the track meet.

That logic is the same as your "he would still be alive if he ran looking for an adult".

Let me inform you of what a normal, civil society does... they don't stab each other at high school track meets for no reason at all. But Anthony has proven he isn't capable of participation in civil society. Death penalty would do us all a favor.

Like asking someone 15 times to leave an area they should not have been in?

There are other ways to respond to being told to leave an unauthorized area than stabbing a 17 year old.

Karmelo was wrong all day long. He was in the wrong place, wouldn't leave, then stabbed a student in the heart for no reason at all. NO REASON. Take your ghetto "put hands on another person" logic and get fricked.

AM should have gotten help when KA wasn't following his orders.

Or....

Wait for it....

POS Anthony shouldn't have stabbed another student

What a moron this girl is!

We don't know why AM decided to put his hands on KA.

How about the fact that some thug was told approximaitely 15 times to leave a team area that he was not part of?

And the phrase "put your hands on another person" should die in a fire. If I tap someone on the shoulder, I "put my hands on them". If I put someone in a chokehold, I "put my hands on them". The term has no meaning because it could mean one of a wide range of things. Almost all of which are non-life threatening.

re: SEC likely to have 5/8 CWS teams

While the numbers suggest this is the correct pick, I am anxious to see how they do in Omaha with the larger field. I don't think they have the pitching to win Omaha this year.

I used to think this as well, but then they won the SEC Tournament in Hoover so I put a little money on them to win it all.

but people think torina is the answer here and is UPTRENDING after ONLY 14 years!

Very few have said this.

But unless you plan on forking over $5-6 million to buy her and the current staff out, then hire a new staff it ain't going to happen. LSU has spent enough money in 2025-26 firing coaches. Beth is safe for now.
It was a fad during football season. Even LSU students had a good one going one boring late season game this year.

We wouldn't accept it in other sports, but mediocrity in softball is ok.

We just accepted 4 years of dead last in the SEC in men’s basketball.

LSU just spent a bajillion dollars to change football and men’s basketball staffs. Women’s basketball is a black hole that bleeds money. Softball just isn’t a top priority. The softball team had a better season this season than last, finished Top 16 in the country. No one with a brain thought she would be fired after this season.
Amazing round from LSU

To advance LSU had to beat Pepperdine by 22 strokes (we beat them by 23)

LSU's -18 was the low round for the tournament by 2 strokes and the low round of the day by 9 strokes.
They will be 3 shots out of 8th place when they start tomorrow.

Just for comparison, Duke in 8th place shot a combined +3 today.

LSU shot -18 :ahh:

So they are right in the thick of it.
Got a par

THEY ADVANCE TO TOMORROW

AMAZING COMEBACK

LSU entered the NCAA finals as the #7 seed. There are 30 teams competing.

4 rounds of stroke play with a cut after round 3. Then the top 8 advance to a matchplay bracket for the championship.

LSU completely bombed on day 1 and looked dead. Today on day 3, they have shot the best combined rounds of the entire tournament.

Just one more hole to advance to round 4 where they will only be a couple of strokes out of the top 8 to advance to the championship match play format. Still work to be done, but an amazing comeback nonetheless.

One hole left. Need a bogey to finish +3 and #15 alone. Double bogey throws them into a tie. Not sure of the tiebreakers.

Crap, I kept thinking Pepperdine was at +3. (well, not crap, good news)

You are correct. Bogey or better and LSU advances.
We've got a bogey and a par.

One player, one 420 yard par 4. Must make bogey or better. A double bogey and we tie Pepperdine and have some sort of playoff.

Edited because my original was inaccurate.
One player has 1 hole left
One player has 2 holes left

LSU needs a combined total of +1 or better on those 3 holes to advance
2 players have 1 hole left.
1 player has 2 holes left.

LSU needs even par out of those 4 holes to advance.
So much pressure on these last few holes. They were tied for 28th out of 30 teams after day 1.

I can't believe the comeback.

Are we playing to make the cut? Auburn looks uncatchable

After stroke play, the championship is won in match play. LSU is trying to advance to the match play round.
