re: When will the Astros fire Joe Espada?

I don’t disagree with any of that.
IMO, this is all Dana Brown’s doing. And probably some of Crane too because he seems pretty difficult to work with. I think you need a strong personality like Luhnow was to stand up to him and tell him what’s needed and to push back.
The MLB roster is mediocre. The minors are in awful shape. And I don’t see anything changing anytime soon.
To be fair to the organization, they’re not NY or LA. So when the pendulum swings one way for over a decade, it’s always going to swing back and I think that’s where we are right now. They HAVE to get rid of Brown and hire someone that can build the farm system up or we’re going to watch teams like this for a while. And if Brown were a GM capable of building the farm, we’d already see an improvement by now and we just haven’t. The quality of every team across the board from the top down has decreased for a while now.
He’s gotta go.

A manager obviously has a role in the game, but to put most of the blame there is and always will be ridiculous.
You can only build a decent home with good, solid tools.
See Walt Weiss. Did he all of the sudden become some magician? Has never won more than 75 games in a season. He’s already more than half way there with a good roster that can be used to build something
I get it, he’s the captain of the ship, blah blah blah, and that’s all it will ever be, but doesn’t mean it’s true or I have to agree with it.

Terrible hire who keeps getting progressively worse each season
I’ll push back.
What can be done better with the shite pitching staff and what are the expectations for them?
What could Espada done better with the lack of talent in the OF?
What would the Astros record be right now if they had, let’s say…. Kevin Cash or a Walt Weiss? Now mind you, Weiss didn’t have a great record in Colorado…. How about Dave Roberts?
How many games better would the Astros be with one of those guys? Remember, consider the roster!

Hopefully the 80% and the word of mouth boosts sales. I understand people don’t really go to the movies as much anymore but I’m sure once it hits streaming it may make more money as well.
Seems like social media is very high on it and every negative review I see there’s quite a bit of pushback on said review.

seemed a lot woke with him being a conflict resolution HR guy, offerings Skeletor a chance and talking about what could be causing his anger, trying to talk about his feelings all the time, the constant sexual innuendo and how many times can you make a fisting joke. apparently a lot…
I just didn’t see it. It’s not that deep.

Go to the discussion thread. This one is just so athens feels like someone is reading his review.

Is Orko in the movie?

Spoooiiilleerrrrrr
Big spoiler
He’s at the end for 5 seconds. I was disappointed he wasn’t in it as much because in the show, he was there all the time. He was a pillar. Even in the intro of the cartoon….only three know about Adam’s secret….
The Sorceress, Man-At-Arms, and Orko.
So they detoured from that a little bit and everyone knows in the movie.
If you’ve gotten this far, I took a picture of him at the end if anyone wants to see it. took it to show my older brother because we were knee deep into He-Man growing up.

Aaah, ok. That does make sense. It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen anything He-Man, so I’m sure you’re right.
I said it makes sense because of the end credit scene. My observation still sticks though. She wasn’t trying to usurp his power at all. She was by his side the whole time but she never gave off the vibe that she was trying to take over…

heard one reviewer say they forgot to give Evil Lynn a personality, and she is just ends up being Skeletor's "Yes Man"
True?
I suppose. I always remember her being Skeletors right hand and doing his bidding. She was his bully here and there but she was more of an advisor.

heard it was boring as shite and nothing really happened till the third act.
Then don’t watch it. Simple as that.
Finished up watching it and I feel like it hit every nostalgic dopamine sensor I have.
Loved it. Had its moments that were humorous with the subtle adult humor in there.
LOVE the way they kept Skeletor and all his henchmen were powerful with a touch of stupid, just like the cartoon I remember. Even Skeletors laughing half the movie was perfect.
There are a couple characters missing which I was bummed about. There were also a couple in this one I had no memory of. I don’t remember Goat Man AT ALL. Had to look him up.
Worth the trip to the theater to check out. It was fun like a remake of a cartoon should be. Definitely reccomend if you go in understanding what it is and not going in like some obnoxious critic.
Stay for the end credits.

You guys can not tell me that she doesn’t look a little downsy…
She also looks like she’s 15 in her face. I just can’t get over that. She literally looks like a child from the neck up.
