re: Kettlebells

Posted by BMoney on 6/10/26 at 2:05 pm to
Just started on kettlebells myself. There's a set in my apartment's gym that I've been using, and now I've decided to buy my own.

I've got a pair of 25s, a pair of 50s, then a 30 and a 35. Will get some heavier ones, but not sure about going with pairs beyond 50.

Just a couple weeks of training with them has made a difference. I enjoy the workouts as well since they focus on a lot of full body stuff. I can see and feel the difference, but this is really my first experience with weights and strength training.

I'm on EGO system. Has performed extremely well with a mower, edger/weedeater and blower. I will probably expand to the interchangeable tool head system and get a hedge trimmer to start. Batteries are interchangeable.

+1

I started with the blower 8 years ago. Added the weedeater and hedge trimmer a couple years later. Then went with the mower and chainsaw. I'd do it all over again too.

Spent a day doing it myself for the cost of the cleaning products, which was $100-ish. My roof isn't very steep, so it was easy. Pump spray a section at a time, then hose it all off. A literal rinse and repeat. It made a huge difference. I had a picture at some point that showed the difference between a section I treated and an untreated one, and it was stark. If I can find it, I'll update this post.

- Stop drinking, period.
- Eat unprocessed foods as much as possible
- Move more, eat less

It sounds simple, but it works. Do this for a year and you will get the results you want. Then it's up to you to keep it going.

Fennwood has some good holes, its a nice 9 holes. $44 vs over $100 I'm playing Fennwood everytime.

As I said, hard pass. It's a 9 hole goat track with great greens.

I can't imagine two breweries that close were good for either business

There are also 2 distilleries across the parking lot. One would think it would be a nice spot hit multiple places in an afternoon/evening. But beer is suffering in today's world. Hell, I quit drinking for good 8 months ago, so I'm not helping any.
Graduated with the job lined up. Went to Omaha for the CWS (we lost) and started when I got back.

Is this specifically the LSU Alumni Association

Yes. I get the same postcards. It shows my class as well (1998).
Bought a 58" Roku model last fall for my girlfriend's living room. So far, so good.

I’ll drive another mile and play Fennwood twice before I pay $100 to play CM.

Hard pass. Greens at Fennwood are fantastic. That's it. I have better fairway grass in my backyard. And the course setup is bland and uninteresting at best.

Copper Card for $100 the first time you play that year, then it's $59 on weekends after that.

Have a Hume pod. It’s not worth it, not accurate

Just got one last week and have only been able to use it twice since I was out of town. I don't know if it's accurate or not, but it told me my metabolic age was 36 (I'm 49), so I'm not mad at it.

Bought one of the cheaper options on Amazon and it didn't make it a year. Just like a couple others in this thread. Bite the bullet and pay for the Heyward.

Matt at Golf Mechanics will certainly do it and can save the grip if you want to reuse it.

Just catching up on Live From. I cannot stand this guy. Condescending prick. He’s worse than Brandel by a mile.

Ditto. Condescending prick is the perfect descriptor. At least Brandel played golf.

You're an a-hole behind a keyboard. I was right.

Yeah, I'm an engineer nerd, piss off.

You mean for 20+ years, I've been using an extra keystroke (ALT then 0176) for this?

Starting a 5 day sardine fast today. Wish me luck.

Do 10g of Creatine. There are studies that show the mental clarity and decreased "brain fog" benefits of daily creatine dosage start really at 10g. I can vouch for this added benefit.

I'm on day 8 of upping from 10g to 20g daily. Game. Changer.
