I see a shocking amount of black folks on social media that desire segregation again, and have the opinion that de-segregation was the source of many of their woes.
I couldn't give a shite less about the money.

What I do care about is that these things are massive, ugly-arse eye sores in communities, bad for the environment and natural, ecosystems, and the majority of them will likely be obsolete within a decade. Oh yeah, and the fact that these things facilitate humanity's spiral into an AI-controlled dystopia where we are mostly job-less and get a monthly government stipend to live.

He didn't throw anyone under the bus dipshit, he simply stated facts to support his argument. Quit being a sensitive little pussy.

You're right, he did. He was looking for a friend's phone, and though the friend told him not to worry about it (it's already submerged and it was insured), he went looking anyway. He thought they had it and weren't giving it to them. Then the alleged looking for little girls came out and it all went downhill from there. it also looks like he checks to make sure he has his knife in his pocket as he approaches the teens and then checks his pocket again as it escalates. He wanted to be ready to at least pull it out, but he made sure he did unobtrusively as he's coming up out of the water. He never announced he had it and just started stabbing kids as they came at him.

Regardless, this guy had arguably more legitimate case for self-defense than Anthony, and the jury didn't buy it and gave him 20 years. Like Anthony, he should have just walked away.

He also fled the scene then lied and denied to police when they confronted him.

The long running peptide thread was so damn funny. Some of the posts in there made me tear up. Some funny people on this website.
Thanks for the heads up OP, I'll stop by the quick mart on the way home and see what its all about.

I understand how the scam works

You can easily thwart the scam by not leaving prior to your transaction ending. Who does that?

This isn't like the skimmers that operate in a clandestine manner to where you can't avoid it.

bro just accept that you are an evil demon for questioning how the scam works.

So you wouldn't be scared if instead of swimming on by it turned and headed straight for you? As long as you can see it come to attack you it's not scary? Because if you are insinuating that because you can see it, there is something you can do about it if it decides to come after you, you are merely giving yourself a false sense of being safe.

A shark generally isnt going to just missile towards a human and attack them from a long distance. Almost all shark attacks are from sharks "bumping" into someone while they are browsing and then biting them. This is why its creepy wading in murky water. And stingrays.

If you can see that a shark is calmly swimming at a safe distance, then the shark can see you, its highly unlikely that its going to bump into you. And seeing as how humans arent prey to sharks they almost certainly arent going to beeline towards you and attack you.

If the highly impropable happens and a shark were to actually beeline it towards me from 8 feet out of a calm swim, then yes, id rather be able to see it and at least have the chance of putting my big pole between me and it.

Now big great whites are obviously a little different, but there arent enough of those in the gulf to really even consider.

I was surf fishing a few weeks ago down here in pcola beach. As I was wading out to cast, a 5 or 6 foot shark swam in front of me, about 8 feet away. Just cruised on by. As long as the water is clear and I can see them they aren't that scary. If the water is murky and I can't see, I am not going out very far at all.

Its likely that high because it basically has another lot on it, and its in a good location. Its my understanding that there is so much historic districting in N.O. that its very hard to find an empty lot to build on, and the house basically has to be caving in to remove.

as grim as it is, i could watch that movie over and over again

Same. I would imagine I've watched it 5+ times and could easily watch it tonight.

same. Its such an immersive movie that so beautifully encapsulates the ugly, grimy, hopeless big city. There is also something timeless about it. It was made in '95, but it has a stylistic vagueness to it almost as if the urban decay it is depicting could take place in any time period, any big city.

Obviously some of the scenes are disturbing, but the acting, cinematography, sound, story etc make it so incredibly watchable.
