Key facts about Paraguay include:

- Indigenous Heritage: It is the only country in the Americas where an indigenous language, Guarani, is spoken by the vast majority of the population alongside Spanish.

- Hydropower Giant: Home to the Itaipu Dam (built on the border with Brazil), it is one of the world's leading producers and exporters of renewable hydroelectricity.

- Quirky Military Trivia: Despite having no access to the ocean, Paraguay maintains a massive, fully operational river navy to patrol its waterways.

- The "Tereré" Culture: Paraguayans are famous for drinking tereré, a refreshing cold herbal tea made from yerba mate. People regularly carry around large thermos jugs for it as an everyday accessory.

- A History of Resilience: Following the devastating War of the Triple Alliance (1864–1870), the country lost the majority of its male population, leading to a society historically rebuilt and sustained by its women.

- Unique Flag: It is one of the only countries in the world with a national flag that features a different emblem on the front and back.

I wonder if Weah knows the N-word in the Guarani language, and that’s why he punched that guy last time around?
Apparently that specific ref has a reputation for being incredibly strict.
Amazing match. Desperation all second half by both sides.
What a save! Lucky the shot was poor maybe, but still…
I actually like the water break. More extra time. Gonna make for wild finishes.
That LCB went rec league while he had a runner
Holy shite, that’s beautiful dribbling.
That guy played his arse off and just didn’t have things break his way.

Your point is legit though. If I’m them he plays about every damn minute this tournament.
Wow! Thought he missed at first because of the camera angle, but that was well taken.

Sweet little scoop!
Small, Medium, and LORGE checking in

On paper, yes.

Almost every team that makes the World Cup can give anyone else a problem most matches.
Thanks! Binging now.

I think we get 9 points. Something has changed with this team, mentally. They also historically tend to lock in for big moments and games at the WC and play up.

I'm sure others that aren't immediately popping into my head.

Opening goal against Dortmund too, right?
“Look, it’s everyone else’s fault...”

“I don’t have to face myself if I don’t want to.”

Why do you think he made that crack?

Hint: It wasn’t anything in this thread. You have a reputation.

I’ll step out. Just was leveling with you, man. Do what you want. I’m not gonna stress over it.

Just don’t act surprised when people lash out or respond in kind. Shouldn’t be a surprise.
Holy side-stepping crawfish, Batman...

Debates don’t involve name-calling and attacks on personal character/egos.

But you know that.

I think we’re just asking for a little bit of honest reflection from you, man. I don’t think you’re a bad person, but things tend to get tilted pretty quick with the way you put things into words as your opinion gets challenged by another.

I know my weakness is being a bottle rocket when someone gets snarky towards me. I do my best to muzzle it.

That’s the only real ask here from any of us.
