re: Does any white person seriously get upset when another race calls them names?
Posted by Salmon on 6/10/26 at 3:58 pm to Shorter Yards
I play basketball at my local Y every week. I’m a 42 white dude with a gray beard.
Almost of the guys I play with are young black guys.
They call me “Cracka Unc”
I tried to explain that there is a singer called Uncle Cracker, but they insisted their name was funnier.
I agree. Cracka Unc is just funnier.

Flying to Turks out of Shreveport. Flights delayed yesterday morning. A bunch of flights got diverted going to Dallas the night before due to weather. American was behind.
Only 2 flights to Turks from Charlotte. We were on the last one (11:15).
We didn’t get to Charlotte till 1.
Headed to the airport now for a 9:30 flight to hopefully get this vacation started.

Sitting at Optimist Hall right now. Cool spot.
Didn’t get out of the airport till 3ish and just kinda crashed at the hotel for a bit since we had been at airports since 5am this morning.

Thanks man. This is perfect.

My primary care doc does. Every single time.
Right. So does mine. I went to my annual wellness check yesterday and we talked about workouts and diet almost the entire time. He does IronMan races.
No pills prescribed or even mentioned. Just “keep doing what you are doing”.
so here is my home remedy for colds: garlic fermented honey
I always keep a jar and anytime I feel that little itch in the back of my throat I eat a piece of of the fermented garlic and the honey twice a day
I definitely think it helps reduce symptoms and length of colds

Its a beast. I use it for heavy swings and static suitcase holds.
Also, like you, I started with just 1 35 lb bell. Its a very versatile weight and generally light enough where you can really practice form.

did anyone's Mom make you drink water through a fork to stop hiccups or was my Mom just fricking with me?

what doctor says this?

Not really
Yes, really. You literally can do more varying workouts with 2 over 1. Not sure how anyone could argue otherwise.

not necessary & @about $2.50/lb, way too expensive
Which is why I recommended start with 1 or 2 of varying weights if budget was a constraint :dunno:
I like having the versatility of 2. I have doubles of 18, 35, 53, and 80. And 1 124 lb bell.

You can do a lot with 1. Obviously you can do more with 2.
If budget is a concern, start with 2 of varying weights, like 1 26 lb and 1 53 lb, so you can vary the workouts.
Add from there.
If you have social media, like IG, there are plenty of accounts that post a lot of KB workouts.

I guess my main criticism of this episode is that it felt like way more of simply an homage to Halloween than an actual good episode that fits within the narrative of the show.
I appreciated it, but it just wasn't near as good as previous ones I guess.
I 100% agree with you
I thought it was by far the weakest episode

Luckily my realtor is a friend, so there is no real competition.
I don't need the house to sell quickly, but I also don't want it to sit on the market for a year.
