The Chinese have developed a brain chip which potentially could monitor your thoughts:

Unlike smartphones or smart speakers, which track your physical location and voice data, brain chips intercept your most intimate, unspoken thoughts. This data is an absolute goldmine for surveillance advertising corporations like Meta, Amazon, and Google, and a dream asset for political regimes interested in thought compliance.

I often see mattresses alongside the road on 377 between Granbury and Fort Worth. You might check what's available before spending money on a new one.

Jean Harlow, a prominent Hollywood actress known as the "Blonde Bombshell," died on June 7, 1937, at the age of 26. The primary cause of her death was kidney failure, specifically uremic poisoning due to acute nephritis, a condition involving inflammation of the kidneys. Below are the key circumstances leading to her death:
Harlow’s untimely death cut short a remarkable career, and her final film, Saratoga, was completed using body doubles and released posthumously. Her passing highlighted the limited medical capabilities of the era and remains a tragic chapter in Hollywood history.

Are there any federal offices on the ballot? Does the potential SCOTUS ruling apply to all elections, or just elections for federal office?
Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution guarantees every state a republican form of government. That would be implemented by the Federal Government.

re: New York to eliminate the terms “Mother” and “Father”.

"It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words… Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it."
In 1984, George Orwell illustrates how the Party manipulates language to control thought. Through Newspeak, words are systematically eliminated or simplified, reducing the ability to express dissent or complex ideas
+1
. For example, instead of having separate words for "good" and "bad," Newspeak uses "good," "ungood," "plusgood," and "doubleplusgood," compressing meaning and limiting nuance
.
Orwell emphasizes that language shapes thought, and by controlling vocabulary, the Party can make rebellious ideas nearly impossible to conceive. The novel also explores how historical literature and slogans are altered to align with Party ideology, demonstrating that manipulating language is a form of power over reality itself

The Fort Worth school district has named Shayma Alzubi as the new principal of Western Hills High School. Alzubi is a pro-Palestine, pro-Sharia law, pro-BLM, pro-mask mandates.
“Today, May 26th, Fort Worth ISD was made aware of multiple social media posts from the past by a finalist for a principal position in the district,” FWISD Communications told The Dallas Express. “After review, it was determined that the posts may not align with the district’s social media policy and expectations for staff. Therefore, the candidate will be reassigned pending the outcome of an investigation. As such, the district will not comment further on an open investigation.”

This "cease fire" has enabled Iran, with help from Russia and China, to upgrade its air defense systems. We've probably lost air supremacy and will have much more difficulty taking out some of the targets we want.
