14 of 16 have made it to Omaha since 2021
Damn! Had no clue on that. And we got 5 in Omaha this year - all during a “down year” - not to mention - the 5 is not made up of teams you would have expected. If pressed at bg of season to name the 5 that made it - many lists would have had LSU, Vandy, FLA or Ark in there somewhere.

Is that the leftover carpet from before the Astrodome imploded?
Ha! Mentioned that to someone yest- both tx & kn have fields that look like 70s astrodome. Man- hate seeing that, like I’m watching a damn travel ball game

Every team that UGA has played at home has hit on a field with the same dimensions. It's not the field.
I have watched a little of UGA this year - have seen plenty of hr hit out of that park - where it didn’t make a diff if the wall was in the next parish - they were gone. How many hr did uga hit on road? I’m willing to bet if you take out midweek home games and do an even comparison - prob gonna show enough to dilute this small park bit.
Awe hell- yall know the drill- we got to say that shite to try and bring yall down! Small park, steroids, rolled - juiced bats- only explanation!!!

It was their best game on paper and they sent their best team. Had the least competition at that time slot. Didn't want to go head to head with their best game vs. MLB and Stanley Cup Finals.
True - and very valid point - and a sound biz decision - but that don’t make it right!!!! Obviously I’m a little biased in my viewing pref

Only perspective I see is that Ole Miss is headed to Omaha on the weakest side of the bracket while lsu sits at home again.
Again? I mean granted it’s “living in the past” but again would make one think we didn’t make it last year - and pretty sure we did…
Good lord - the number of threads yall start daily - really doesn’t make anyone question the reasoning behind the co-west banner.

Hasn’t been murderers row for us in the post season so far. However you still gotta get it done. One more to Omaha
Can’t really put my finger on it - and have to admit don’t know much about y’all’s team - other than the success this year - but there is something that makes me feel like bama might be waiting in the shadows to do some damage in Omaha ( expecting all goes as planned today). Don’t know - just seems like they have been quietly moving through post season -
Looked to be a hell of an atmosphere - as mentioned in another thread - no reason this game should be at 11 ( I guess 12 for y’all) at least the aft game.
Always like how during post season - you watch other super regionals - and non sec parks - you see empty seats - pretty tame crowd- (west Va did have pretty intense environment) - show sec parks - and hell, yall see it - great crowds, great environments -

First crime by the NCAA is aligning State with UGA. Second by NCAA/ESPN is putting them in morning games. They had to know these two would be the best matchup. Would’ve been a great watch on Saturday/Sunday nights!
No kidding - I’m an lsu fan so naturally believe there is a conspiracy against us by both espn and ncaa - and my paranoia extends to the sec in some cases. We have two supers as all sec match ups - I’m telling you - they plotted that shite out on purpose!!! those bastards try to make us canabilize ourselves!!!!
If I choke down my hate ( and disappointment on season) sure will be something to possibly see 5 sec teams in Omaha.

I like picking on Aggies as much as anything - but feel like after that last game in Tiger Stadium we should sit this one out for a bit

It’s Hugh Freeze to Auburn all over again.
Are we seeing a trend here? And why are yall so pissed at us - let’s not forget Auburn took tuberville from you as well-
Not too mention - we elevated a guy yall fired to HC - so it should balance out right? I mean - disregard he won the NC at lsu - after yall fired him - that’s besides the point.

Half arse is all you got when you’re already out the door.
This is a valid point. Unintentionally - I don’t think Kiffin would have treated it like some situation like some mail in bowl game - I believe he would have made every effort to do all he could to coach the team as he had all season - but even with those intentions - would have been plenty of slippage, and have to think def would affect their play.
Look - I hate ole miss more than any other school in SEC, in the U.S. - in the galaxy- but I honestly cannot blame them for not allowing him to coach the playoffs.
Take away any emotional baring on it, any talk of going to a rival and all of that from an operational standpoint - I would figure operationally just too much distraction, risk, etc.
Hmmmm- read this and realized I was watching softball.
Damn what a depressing season…..

Yeah - I think you are right, - seems like maybe if you have two sec teams on cusp of national seed battling it out - it has a little influence
But almost like they expect or accept there is always a good chance none of your potential national seeds will even be in the ch game.

My main question - if y’all are so happy for having Pete- why do so many keep whining about Kiffin?
quote:
They’re a hypocritical bunch, aren’t they?
Ahhh- bit of a diff - Saban left us for the nfl - after winning a NC, which as a side note - won said nc the same year as the ole miss co west champs banner that is so proudly displayed.
Common theme that most all seem to notice and agree with- the areas listed at the top- kind of run into same issues- great areas, made attractive- attracts folks fleeing once great areas that have met serious decline - and those asshats come to the new areas and do the same shite that caused the decline in the areas they are fleeing.
All the while telling us how ignorant and backwards we are- makes sense

See we just go section 8 housing here in LA- plus not Californians moving here.
Another win for us!!

If they can do it as fast as it was in the tournament, I'm good with it. I liked the format.
Yeah- that is def an attribute - it is very quick - so much as first time I saw it - they showed the graphic - I thogut that was just the sec network filling time/ like showing replay- didn’t realize it was the actual review.

There's really no shame on losing to a Top 8 national seed 3-1...
You see Johnson’s pregame interview? Was basically asked about how he felt about game- and he more or less said season hangs on beating the team he picked at bg of season to win NC - talking about Auburn of course. Then explained his reasoning - only team that swept us, young team last year that returned many of same, obviously good and so on.

I don’t know- only thing keeping Mulkay of the list is Dawn Staley coming in off the top turnbuckle.
But - say johnson did haul arse to mlb, and Vitello wanted out of mlb - and lsu hired Vitello
We could then have enough street cred to win hate fest,
We could get the swimming and diving coach to get caught kicking a puppy just to ensure we have it locked up
