Last summers LAPSELS ethics webinar was in the use of AI. So industries are trying to address the issue. Zits here to stay but how we use it is key.
AI is a tool in our bag but it’s shouldn’t be a crutch.

They are about waist they think the current best play is for them. Buying cheap Russian oil when the west is condemning the attack into Ukraine. Buying Russia weapons systems. Appearing cozy to the US when it benefits their interest. They are the sleeping giant with their population and now hands into US healthcare and tech industries….

i would have assumed that litigation against the NCAA would have needed to go through a federal court and not state/local court as it was "interstate commerce"

This comment has nothing to do with Karmelo, but just a general comment about fundraising websites: I don't think they should get into the moral discussion of what is a valid fundraiser and what is not. If people want to raise money for a new satanic church or to pay for a death row inmate's commissary, idiots should be free to waste their money.
Beyond fraud prevention, they should take any all money.
a lot o states have laws on the books preventing criminals from making money off their crime.....this would be making money off a crime.....hence shutting down the account now that he has been convicted and sentenced
From AI search:

Texas law, commonly referred to as a "Son of Sam" law, legally prevents criminals from profiting off the publicity of their crimes by requiring them to forfeit profits derived from their life story, and establishes involuntary trusts to redirect profits from crime memorabilia sales to victims.

this was a open primary, so you get to pic to vote in the Dem primary or the republican primary but not both.
total votes on Dem side 370K+ and total votes on R side 340k+ votes
you cant look at the 221k to 136k as a head to head comparison, likely every R will vote for the R candidate and every dem for the D candidate.
however the 2022 governors primary was 380k R votes and 180K dem votes
final vote was almost 1m R votes to nearly 700k D votes, so it appears not many participate in the primaries as apposed to the general elections

re: People Trying to Portray KA Case as Typical Teen Conflict
Posted by tigeraddict on 6/10/26 at 8:34 am to Doctor B
take the knife out of the equation and this is a standard "teen conflict"
but with the introduction of the knife, this is what elevated the encounter to use of deadly force and opened up option 2 for the definition of murder under texas law
without the knife (or other weapon) this case never gets a murder trial, its a manslaughter trial.
if you remove the knife and KA punches AM and he falls and heats his head on the bleachers and later dies, is a manslaughter case and now 2 - 20 years max, with a much better case for the defendant to get the lesser end of the sentencing

Figured he would have gotten 15-20. Was hoping 30-40 because of ability of early parole.
Sentencing needed to send a message to others
35 years was a good decision. Yes it was murder but leave the harsher sentencing for more heinous crimes…..

Wow, fast.
I wonder what that means...
the instructions have them evaluating the definition of murder as the first step. if they could not get to an agreement o the 1st step, then they would ponder manslaughter.
if they believed the definition of manslaughter did not fit, then not guilty
unless it was 12-0 not guilty from the jurors at the start, this quick of a turn around means there was not big discussion or holdout on the 1st charge......
a long deliberation usually means one or two holdouts on the charge....they will deliberate for a while before moving on to the next charge.

It’s unclear why Trump chooses to salute during the national anthem as he has never served in the armed forces, famously facing allegations that he cited bone spurs to get out of the draft during the Vietnam War.

Also obama saluted the military...... and he never served

re: Trump has made us exceedingly weak on the international stage
Posted by tigeraddict on 6/8/26 at 7:39 am to Adam Banks
Feelings don’t replace fact.
Just because you feel it does mean it is true
Europe/NATO need to step up. They have been hiding behind our strength
Russia has proven to be a paper tiger, although slowly winning in Ukraine (a lesser opponent) its war is turning into a pyrric victory as their army is showing its weakness, and its weapons systems are showing inferior to that of the West (US systems)
Trump showed the power of US tech/training/military in both Venezuela and Iran. Even against Russia and China’s “best tech”.
If you want weakness on the world stage you only need to look at the last 2 Democrat presidents……
