I once had a dream I bought two random lottery tickets for me & an older relative. I looked at the ticket I was giving away, and knew it was going to be the winner. It had mostly classic 80s football jersey numbers: 12, 16, 22, 28,34 and 3. Then I woke up.

Fast-forward a week, and he & I are eating at a casino, and realize it's almost time for the powerball drawing. So, I quickly went to the gift shop and bought two random quick-pick tickets. I looked at the numbers, one of them had 12, 16, 22, 28, 34 and 3!!! No lie. It was fate. I told him about the dream. Feeling superstitious, I said if I don't give it to him and keep it for myself, it may not win. He said "We'll just sign the back of the ticket and we'll both be millionaires." We did and later checked the results.

Not one single number came up.
I still remember exactly where I was, in the living room, thinking the game was over, ironing a shirt before a date, then I was jumping up & down and almost burned my shirt. I can't believe it's been 30 years ...or that I dated that butterface.
The NCAA rules are crystal clear that if RJ Luis signed a two-way contract with the NBA, which he did, that he should not be eligible to play for LSU.

But apparently all LSU needs to do is find a La. judge to ignore the NCAA rules and give an injunction, much like TX & MS judges did for Sorsby & Chambliss, despite clear-cut NCAA rules saying they were also ineligible.

Can't wait to see Jay Bilas cry.
If judges are now allowing both Sorsby & Chambliss to play, despite clear cut NCAA rules saying they can't, RJ Luis should get to play, too. LSU just needs to find a La. judge to give an injunction.

She led the USA team also featuring Lay, Joyce Edwards, and Sahara Williams to an undefeated Gold Medal

I am 99.999% sure the US lost their first game, and Lay was missing that first game, for whatever reason, so they had no 4th player to rotate in for freshness. Then, the next day, Lay was playing, but the team barely won, so I stopped watching the tournament cuz I figured it'd be like the disappointing HVL 3x3 teams that fell short of Gold given the early loss & the subsequent close call. This was in early May (2nd or 3rd) which, who knows, may have been a completely different tournament a month ago.

But thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna go check out the final.

EDIT: Here’s the final if anyone else is interested:

Highest Bidder Board makes a better alliteration.
The Suit was always a status symbol for power, particularly at work. But then casual Friday made it optional. Silicone Valley billionaires & sheep made it embarrassing. The Pandemic made it unnecessary. And soft/casual wear slowly became the new work uniform. Unfortunately, the suit is currently just for rituals (funerals, weddings, judge verdicts, etc...)

So, it's not dead & it may make a comeback. A suit now speaks loudly as a rebel/non-conformist. Some tycoon/celebrity/influencer will standout & probably revive the trend.
I think about the fact that our Sun is actually a Star. It is one million times bigger than the Earth, yet it doesn't look that big cuz it is 93 million miles away.

Then I look at those pinpoints of lights in the sky called Stars and realize every single one of them have planets that orbit them, and those stars are actually "Suns" to those orbiting planets. The potential for life existing in those solar systems becomes a bit more tangible if you look at the night sky filled with "Suns".

Not really an actress/singer (Adriana Lima) but hopefully my future ex wife

Yikes! I don’t know what happened to her. Looks like plastic surgery or age or a fast food addiction …or a combination of them all. But she’s unrecognizable, in an ex-wife sorta way.

A DL that's 247's #1 player in the country & a TTU commit, now I'm wondering if CEO was brought on specifically as an all-hands-on-deck move to assist with this flip.

Now let's bring back 24 hour Walmarts.

It was probably a coincidence, but all but one Walmart stopped 24 hour shopping in Greater New Orleans when Katrina hit in 2005. (The Kenner location stayed open 24 hours until around 2010.)

I get why the stores affected by the storm would only reopen with limited hours, as workers weren't back, but the unaffected neighboring cities had a massive influx of residents/potential employees and the stores still cut down store hours.(???) Walmart as a company must've been looking at cutting hours and jumped on the opportunity.

Then it took another disaster (COVID) to make it a permanent nation-wide.

In 1984, Hokie as a Saint led the NFL in rushing average with 6.0 per carry. This was in the era when defenses were built to stop the run.

That year had some all-time greats, too. Eric Dickerson (a record 2100+ yards), Walter Payton, John Riggins, Marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett, etc. and ratio-wise, Hokie was outpacing them all. Beast!
It’s apparent TulaneLSU is an artisanal Neapolitan pizza fan.
Apparently, LSU has access to their own rev-share (revenue from tv contracts, etc shared amongst all SEC teams). The amount available for football is $20.5M annually in June. (IIRC, the number for basketball is $10M or $15M.) I wanna say that rev share has to be spent before being allowed to use NIL.

For supplemental NIL, LSU uses a sports agency that has aggregated a gazillion companies that are willing to pay for an athlete's endorsement. The packages can be diversified. For example, if LSU wants to offer a prospect $1M NIL package, he might get the bulk of it from say, Raising Cane's and some car dealership, but the rest might be comprised of 10 smaller businesses that the athlete also has an minor obligation to represent in some way. All NIL deals have to be approved by some regulatory clearing house

If I'm not mistaken, the new rev share rules effectively outlawed the use of collectives (where fan or alumni or or business donations could be be put in a money pool to pay out to prospects they want.) I believe colletives & TAF funds now have to be used on ancillary projects, like say, stadium upgrades, arena renovations, etc.

LSU can use up all of their annual $20.5M rev share in one class, and if they want more prospects the same year, they can basically give an I.O.U. to a signee willing to wait a few months until June when LSU gets access to another $20.5M. I think LSU dipped into this upcoming rev share funds to sign a lot of their $40M+ portal class.

That's my understanding. ButI could be wrong in parts.

If it's only soft tissue damage, he could recover in just a few weeks.

If it's bone damage, it could be a few months.

If nerve damage is involved, it could take years.

If it's major vascular damage, much like Sean Taylor, it could take a life.
