However, the damage was done. The brotherhood and trust forged in the Revolutionary War was gone.

Well said.
If you study early American history the real question was how was it avoided so long.

The fight over how much power the federal government had vs. how much power the state's had was going on since the founding.

Take a look at the Nullification Crisis of 1832. This could have led to a civil war, but no one really had the heart to do it. Andrew Jackson even sent federal ships to Charleston, S.C. threatening to use force if needed to make S.C. follow federal law.
I live by the one in Towne Center in BR. We used to go occasionally. Went about five years ago and made a decision to never go back.

I'm not sure I would put Bethune Cookman and Air Force in the same category.

Sir, you’re the pussy for coming on a message board to criticize a young kid without knowing jack shite.

I agree the OP has a stupid take, but can we quit calling these adults kids, or in this case "young kids" especially now that they are adults making lots of money.

This MIGHT have worked 5-10 years ago, but now that athletes are going to the University that is the highest bidder, not a chance.

It is amazing how few golf courses there are in Baton Rouge period. I only saw about 3 courses the entire time I lived in Baton Rouge.

If you wanted to play golf in BR in the 90's there were actually some good options:

Old LSU Golf Course
Webble Beach
City Park
Howell Park (Hurricane Creek)
Briarwood (on site of new Women's Hospital)
Fairwood

Isn't the bigger issue that anyone is doing this at a University commencement ceremony?

Don't walk on my grass, but then the woman proceeds to walk on the grass to get the mail the mailman threw down.

but in reality what she really should have said: "“We’ve got to neutralize these red states from following the law!”

Clearly you haven't read Black Athena.

She may be correct in the idea they promoted the false notion that the U.S. is a democracy.
I spotted John Leguizamo, what?

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not liking Damon in the role of Odysseus.
I like how she says "1 tanker has about 10-14 days of Cuba's oil needs" as if the tanker shows up, unloads the oil, and that oil just goes right into the market. What are the doing with this oil that hasn't been refined?

Poor George Washington's image on the flag behind her having to witness this embarrassment.
