Around Memorial Day, the GF and I will be heading to Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo for a little beer tourism.
And recommendations on hotels or non-beer sites to see?
We'll be going to Founder's, Bell's, New Holland, the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange, Hop Cat, and I think 3 or 4 other breweries while we're there. One night in each city I believe, but that is flexible.

P, you've nailed it on K-Zoo. Bell's is sort of the godfather of microbreweries in Michigan. They used to have a small cafe there in downtown Kalamazoo, but I think it's a much bigger visitor center now (but haven't been back to that particular spot in a few years). I did notice last year that Arcadia, which used to be out of Battle Creek, was building a big operation in Kalamazoo. You may want to check them out. Founder's now seems like the supergiant microbrewery (how's that for an oxymoron) in the state. Brewery Vivant in GR has some decent brews. Not sure if they have a public spot you can visit. ETA, yes. LINK
If you feel like seeing beach towns, Grand Haven is probably the most popular. South Haven and Holland aren't bad. Saugatuck is very artsy and gay.

Thanks for the response, Vivant is definitely on the list. We hadn't decided on Arcadia yet.
