Wedding in Costa Rica

Friend of mine is getting married in Costa Rica at the beginning of April.
Wedding will be on the beach somewhere I assume, but they have rooms set aside at the Margaritaville there where we will stay.
Any recommendations on the following!
1. Water activities/sports
2. Hiking
3. Food
4. Views
5. Other general guns things in that area
Thanks in advance for any help/recommendations.

costa rica is large and not easy to get around. for some input you will have to tell us where you will be.
I would recommend getting up to monteverde to experience the cloud forest. very unique place.

Looks like the resort is in Santa Cruz.

Thanks. My apologies on my ignorance, I have never been there before.
Unfortunately we are only going for 3-4 days so was hoping to plan some things out in advance if possible.

For such a short trip, you should probably contact the hotel/resort you are staying in and see what excursions they offer. You didn't say if you had a car, but I am assuming you do not. So you will have to depend on things that can come and pick you up from where you are staying and drop you off. You will also need to do things that are about an hour from your hotel.

Good call. I was thinking about contacting the resort previously, but decided to ask around here first.
Thanks
